  • How does BundleBee work?

BundleBee uses collective bargaining to negotiate student loan deals from lenders.

Imagine walking into a lender alone and asking for a lower rate on your loans. Sounds scary. And Ms. Lender will probably have all sorts of excuses for you. Now imagine walking into a lender with 500 other law school students and making the same demand together. Ms. Lender is much more likely to take your demands seriously; collectively you've become too important to ignore.

This is the concept underlying BundleBee. We bring students together to form a Hive that is too important to ignore. We'll represent the group in negotiations and get the best deal possible for the Hive.

  • How much does this cost?

BundleBee is 100% free! Unless you're a lender.

  • When should I join? Do I need to wait until I've been accepted somewhere?

You should join now! More people signed up means more bargaining power when we start negotiating with lenders. There's no need to wait until you've received acceptances or scholarship offers.

There are also no drawbacks to joining. There are no strings attached, so either BundleBee finds you a better deal or you just carry on and finance however you were going to originally.

  • Collective loan bargaining? Does that mean I'm responsible for someone else’s loan?

Nope, not at all. You are not be responsible for anyone else in the Hive. We use collective bargaining to negotiate deals, but that doesn't mean it's a collective loan with shared responsibility.

  • Who can sign up?

BundleBee is available for law school applicants and students, as well as other graduate students.

  • Do I have to make any commitments?

Nope! There is zero obligation for you to take the deal that BundleBee negotiates. But you do need to join the Hive if you want to be part of the deal.

  • How do you make money?

We make the lenders pay us for the privilege of lending to the Hive. To avoid any conflict of interest with BundleBee users, we set a fixed fee rate before negotiations begin.

  • What information do you need from me?

For now, we only need your name, stats, and the school you plan to attend. We use this information to generally show the quality of the Hive's loans to lenders. The data is anonymized and we will never sell your personal information to a third party.

  • Why do you ask for my stats when I sign up?

We use this information to generally show the quality of the Hive's loans to lenders. The data is anonymized and we will never sell your personal information to a third party.

  • Should I still research other student loans?

Yes! Definitely shop around and do more research. BundleBee is not meant to be a fool-proof replacement for all your financing needs. We're trying to make the process of going to law school a little bit easier, but only you know exactly what you need. Please do your homework!

  • Help! I don't know my credit score

Co-Founder Jarron here. If you don’t know your credit score that is absolutely ok, but there are a few ways to easily check! Personally, I use Credit Karma. You have to put up with some ads, but the service is very helpful.

We won’t include a link because we are not affiliated with them (and don’t want to be those people)!

But understanding your credit score can save you thousands of dollars and I highly recommend either a free service like Credit Karma, or a paid service that you can find online (or email us for recommendations)!

Please don’t put in a random number or fake score, because lenders will make offers based on the Hive’s scores and your personal offer will be based off of your actual credit score.
